Rise + Renew Retreat

Don’t worry. Nobody needs to know that hitting reset on your life happened to feel like a five-star vacation.

A five-day retreat at KAN Tulum, on the Yucatán coast. February 4 to 8, 2027. Strictly limited to fifteen guests.

A woman floating alone in a limestone pool at dawn

Maybe you are starting a new chapter.

Or, maybe you are ending one, and you are still working out what to call it. A marriage that finished. A house that got quiet. A job that stopped feeling like a good fit. Something you are living through now that you will find a word for later, once you are far enough away from it to look back.

Maybe you are just stuck, and it’s just hard to explain exactly how or why.

Whatever the ‘why’ happens to be that has caused you to arrive on this page right now isn’t as important as admitting that you are ready to do something about it. And that entire process starts by taking a big step back, away from the daily grind, so that you can see your best path forward.

And that is a close to impossible task to achieve by just setting a few free hours aside on a Sunday, while completely aware that everything your life demands from you is waiting impatiently on the other side of your bedroom door.

Why this coast

People have traveled to Tulum for a thousand years to ask for what they could not get at home.

There was a walled city on the cliff two miles from where you will be staying. What is now called Tulum, the Maya once called Zamá, City of the Dawn, because it faces east and catches the sun at dawn, before anywhere else on this coast.

The Yucatán is unlike almost anywhere else on Earth. Beneath its porous limestone lies a vast network of crystal-clear freshwater. When rain falls here, it doesn’t become rivers. It slips underground, hidden until the limestone above collapses and reveals it to the sky. The Maya called these sacred places ts’ono’ot. Today, we know them as cenotes.

It’s a fitting reminder that some of life’s most extraordinary places aren’t found on the surface. They reveal themselves only when we’re willing to slow down, look a little deeper, and discover what has been there all along.

People walked for days to reach these cenotes. For fresh water, and to ask for what they needed. Rain. A harvest. A child. Help… But you can be here in just a few hours.

And that is still the arrangement

Our retreat at KAN includes its own private cenote, about ninety seconds from where you are staying.

Limestone-cold, quiet, and usually empty at seven in the morning.

KAN sits back in the jungle rather than on top of it. Mornings are unhurried. Strong coffee, and light coming down through the trees before anyone says much.

Most mornings you will have it to yourself.

What the five days hold

Daily fitness and yoga. Sound work. Cold exposure. Group ceremonies and some alone time to let it all sink in.

Every meal is prepared for you, so no worrying about ‘what to eat’ for once.

Three facilitators, with you the whole five days: a certified personal trainer and photographer, a licensed clinical social worker who leads the group work, and a board-certified yoga therapist. All levels welcome. No prior experience required.

The specific itinerary for the five days we keep under wraps. You’ll see why when you experience the retreat for yourself.

Fifteen guests. No more than that.

Meet your hosts

Two hosts. Five days. Together from beginning to end.

Nobody flies in to lead a single session and then leave. We’ll train together, share meals together, and sit in the same circles throughout the entire experience.

With fifteen guests and two hosts, the group stays small enough that we know every one of you by name. We keep it that way on purpose, so everyone receives personal attention, meaningful connection, and the space to be fully supported throughout the retreat.

Jenna Eiseman · NASM CPT

Jenna leads every workout and helps you bring the experience home.

A certified personal trainer from Parkland, Florida, Jenna designs the movement for all five days, adapting every session to the body you bring that morning, not the one you think you should have.

She also captures the retreat through her lens, so the experience doesn’t fade into memory. You’ll leave with beautiful photographs of your week to revisit long after you’ve returned home.

Before you leave, Jenna creates a personalized training and nutrition plan built around your body, your goals, and your experience during the retreat. Then, for the next eight weeks, she’ll check in with you each week to help you build on the momentum you’ve created.

And if you haven’t trained consistently in a while, simply tell her on the first morning. She’ll adjust your workouts accordingly. Nothing else about your experience changes.

Corynne Carranza · LCSW, CIHC

Corynne holds the space and guides the journey.

Corynne is a holistic therapist and integrative wellness coach who has spent more than 14 years helping women feel better in their minds, bodies, and everyday lives.

Her approach blends emotional wellness, mind-body practices, movement, mindfulness, and realistic tools for creating more balance and joy. After years of working with women who spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else, she co-created Rise + Renew as a space to step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, have fun, and experience the kind of connection that can be hard to find in everyday life.

Corynne believes our mental, physical, and emotional well-being are deeply connected, and that taking care of ourselves doesn’t have to feel so serious.

Outside of work, she’s happiest traveling with her family, trying different kinds of workouts and wellness practices (bonus points if a friend is coming too), and finding a really good matcha wherever she goes.

Cristina Holtz · B.A., C-IAYT, SEP

Cristina teaches every morning.

Board certified yoga therapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner, with more than twenty years of teaching behind her. She teaches at Fusion Fitness when she is not on a retreat.

All levels are welcome. She scales the practice to the room rather than asking the room to keep up.

You do not need to be flexible and you do not need to have done this before. Two of the fourteen women last time had never been on a mat.

The property

KAN is built around five things: water, movement, sound, sleep, and food.

Those have been the property’s guiding principles from the beginning, long before we ever found it. They also happened to be the exact five we believed this retreat should be built around.

You feel it in the details. A cenote and cold plunge where another resort might build a swim-up bar. No televisions in the rooms. Jungle outside every window. A kitchen at the heart of the property instead of tucked out of sight. We didn’t ask KAN to become the right place for this retreat. It already was.

The table

Nutritious, delicious meals, served in unforgettable settings.

Most of it comes out of MOTMOT, the kitchen at KAN. Nothing to book, nothing to research, nothing to split at the end of the night.

Long dinners are where most of this actually happens. That was the loudest feedback from the first retreat, and it had nothing to do with the food.

From our first retreat

The moments between the itinerary are often the ones that stay with you.

Move together, feel stronger. Outdoor sessions that wake up your body and your spirit.
Create without rushing. Hands busy, minds quiet, hearts open.
Strength feels different here. Intentional movement, focused breath, space to begin again.
Come as you are, leave more connected. A retreat of movement, conversation, rest, and real community.
Come back to yourself. Ritual, reflection, and a pause from the noise.

Have you given yourself permission to ask for what you need?

For more than a thousand years, people have come to this coastline seeking clarity, renewal, and a deeper connection to themselves. If you’re ready to do the same, you’ll be in good company.
